Emerson Automation Solutions supplies services and products for the automation of installations around the globe. Customers should be able to run their equipment without worrying. That’s why Emerson offers several performance-based calibration solutions. Emerson used Coriolis Master Meters to develop a Mobile Calibration Unit for a new service, resulting in the best on-site calibration uncertainty and a CMC of 0.075% with flow rates of 1.8 to 1800 kg/min.
Emerson designed all the hardware and all mechanical, operational and software specifications for this Mobile Calibration Unit. Because high accuracy, fast data collection, and flexible data processing are essential during calibration, Emerson sought a knowledgeable partner capable of delivering a turnkey Labview operating system. This Labview project includes a control cabinet, Labview software, a touch screen for easy operation and a software link to generate standard, uniform Emerson reports. Pro Control installed and delivered the fit-for-purpose, cost-effective and user-friendly solution with all cabling, software and required licenses.
During the start-up and the FAT, Maru in De Rijp was kind enough to lend us a solar unit with which we could extensively test the system. The mobile unit is now on its way to Emerson’s customers, and Pro Control is very proud of the end result and its role in this innovation.
